The RLEC industry was well-represented at a Tuesday roundtable discussion on broadband deployment and the BEAD program hosted by Altoona Congressman John Joyce and FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. The PTA, Brightspeed and Frontier all offered comments on barriers and challenges to successfully navigating through the federal programs including permitting, prevailing wage requirements, rate regulation and the scoring of applications.
