The debate on prevailing wage is still alive and well as evidenced by the extensive debate and ultimate split vote Senate passage of SB 908. Sponsored by Senator Frank Farry (R-Philadelphia), the bill would apply PW to off-site custom fabrication in addition to on site construction and also prohibit split rates (paying a worker two different rates for the same job on the same day. The bill now goes to the House for its consideration.
