In a co-sponsor memo released today, Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill cited the extraordinary circumstances whereby millions of Pennsylvanians are working/learning from home as the impetus for legislation granting certain telecommunications providers some much-needed regulatory relief. The Phillips-Hill bill will modernize Chapters 63 and 64 of the Public Utility Code which, according to the memo, “have not been subject to any comprehensive review to examine their relevancy and application to the realities of today’s telecommunications industry.”
