Congress – 2/10/23

A “policy blueprint” was sent to Congress early this week from NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association to identify areas to focus on during the 188th Congress. The four major areas highlighted by the association were 1) promoting universal service to ensure affordable connectivity, (Including expanding the contribution base of the federal USF); 2) ensuring the effective and efficient use of broadband grant funding; 3) aligning tax policies with deployment goals i.e. don’t tax BB grant funding and; 4) streamlining regulations that hinder BB deployment.
