Yesterday, the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority announced the approval of $45 million in Multi-Purpose Community Facilities grants to 49 projects in 26 counties. The funding is geared towards entities such as libraries and community health centers to ensure that citizens have access to free broadband. Allegheny County led the way with 10 projects, while Philadelphia County garnered funding for seven projects. The list of grantees may be found here.
