“Nutrition” labels for broadband service will be front and center on March 11th as the FCC holds its first in a series of virtual public hearings on its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the matter. Specifically, the NPRM seeks comments on a requirement that “broadband providers display simple-to-understand labels that disclose, at the point of sale, accurate information about prices, introductory rates, data allowances, broadband speeds, and management practices.” The hearing is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET on FCC.gov/live and the Commission’s work to date on labeling can be found at https://www.FCC.gov/broadbandlabels.
