Reforming the federal Universal Service Fund continues to make news with North Carolina Republican Congressman Richard Hudson telling attendees at the NTCA Legislative and Policy Conference this week that he expects to have a draft bill inked by the end of May. Hudson, who chairs the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, offered that his colleagues, in bi-partisan fashion, have been working diligently and cooperatively and have made “tremendous progress the last six months.”
