It appears as though someone is taking the FCC’s recent order calling for states to get out of the way as it pertains to regulations hindering the transition from copper to fiber networks seriously. That someone is AT&T and the serious action is a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Southern California seeking preemption of state laws/regs which are hindering the company’s upgrading efforts.
