At its meeting on Tuesday, the Senate Communications and Technology Committee passed streamlined telco regulatory legislation in the form of Senate Bill 85. The bill passed along party lines with Democrat members dissenting. Minority Chairman Jimmy Dillon (Philadelphia) offered that the CWA, IBEW, OCA and Governor Shapiro’s office have all asked for opposition to the legislation. (See related story in Quotable Section).
