The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority held its first in a series of webinars yesterday (two more today and two scheduled for Monday) to discuss Pennsylvania’s Broadband Plan as required by Act 96 of 2021. The presentation focused on a variety of topics including broadband availability, device and technology access, digital equity and affordability, and digital literacy and technical support. During the Q&A portion of the program, it was noted that Brandon Carson of Alleghenies Broadband has been named executive director of the authority with a start date of May 16th.
