Long time Bucks County Republican State Senator “Tommy” Tomlinson announced this week that he will retire at the end of his current term this year. Having served in the House prior to his election to the Senate in 1994, Tomlinson is credited for being the driving force behind legalized gaming in Pennsylvania. From a telecommunications perspective, he has served as Chairman of the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee for several terms and led the committee when it passed the state’s first comprehensive telco regulation modernization legislation in 2020.
