The Senate doubled down on last week’s missive to Governor Wolf regarding the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), with this week’s support of Senate Bill 119 by the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee. The bill requires legislative approval for PA to enter any program which deals with carbon emissions and the Wolf Administration offered that he would veto the bill if it reaches his desk. Wolf took the same stance with last week’s correspondence from Senate Republicans which said that the body will not confirm any nominee to the PUC until he rescinds his executive order signing the state up for RGGI. Stay tuned.
