Referred to the House Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities Committee earlier this week, House Bill 1598 would add any undisclosed text, image, audio, and video content generated by artificial intelligence to prohibited activities under the state’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law. The bill is prime sponsored by Democrat Representative Chris Pielli of Chester County who offered that “we cannot allow a future where people are unaware if they are interacting with a computer program or another person.”
