Big pay day for a big job. Lumen announced this week that it has landed a $1.2 billion contract to completely overhaul the communications network of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and its 9,500 locations nationwide. As reported in Fierce, the company’s SVP offered that the makeover will include edge computing, remote access, virtual private networking, and cloud computing among many other features.
