Good news from a couple Pennsylvania (and multi-state) RLECs on broadband deployment. TDS announced recently that it added 35,000 new fiber-enabled locations in the fourth quarter of 2021, bringing its total to 400,000 fiber-enabled addresses throughout its footprint. The company is planning to grow its broadband-enabled locations to 2.2 million by 2026 with 60 percent of those being fiber-fed. Frontier announced that it has kept its promise to deliver its first multi-gigabit service tier in the first quarter of 2022, debuting a 2-gig internet service which is available across its entire fiber footprint.
