“This is your final warning” will no longer apply to the FCC’s enforcement and oversight of illegal robocallers. In a recently issued news release, the Commission announced that it has issued an order under the new TRACED Act indicating that it will no longer issue warnings to scammers prior to proceeding with enforcement actions. In addition, the Commission announced that the statute of limitations on robocall cases has been extended from 1-2 years, to 4 years, and that the maximum fines for intentional robocall violations have been increased.
