Yesterday, the US Department of Agriculture (DOA) announced that it has made its final funding distributions under round one of its Reconnect program and the figure is $744 million. A DOA news release on the matter notes that revenues will help with high-speed broadband connectivity to 172,000 households, 19,000 rural, small businesses and farms, and more than 500 health care centers in 34 states.
