CCG Consulting this week highlighted an emerging technology called New Radio over Coax which the cable industry (Charter, Rogers Communications and CableLabs), says is designed to use a cable company’s coaxial network to transmit 5G signals. Ultimately, the tech would allow the industry to save money by adding new small cell sites at any node as opposed to a traditional small cell site.
