The FCC and the National Science Foundation have announced a joint workshop on July 13th entitled “The Opportunities and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence for Communications Networks and Consumers.” A press release on the event says the workshop will address a wide range of issues including AI’s ability to optimize network traffic, improve spectrum policy, enhance resiliency through self-healing networks, fight illegal robocalls and bring greater transparency to broadband access.
