Big news out of Brightspeed yesterday who announced plans for an all-fiber, gig-speed network reaching 40,000 potential Pennsylvania customers by the end of next year. The company (initially comprised of Lumen’s local exchange carrier assets and soon to be part of an acquisition by Apollo-managed funds) has ambitious plans after this first phase buildout; looking to reach 150,000 additional locations with fiber in the coming years in the Keystone State.
