Prevailing wage on BEAD projects remains a burning issue in Pennsylvania as evidenced by this week’s petition filed by the Broadband Cable Association of Pa. Sent to the Department of Labor and Industry, the missive formally requests a hearing and investigation on industry-specific wage classifications. This from BCAP President Todd Eachus: “For three years, BCAP has requested – formally and informally–that appropriate job classifications be applied for publicly funded broadband infrastructure projects. With the BEAD application window closing in the coming days, we needed to take bold action to ensure a level playing field and that taxpayer money is used to its maximum benefit.” Stay tuned.
