The much-maligned Universal Service Administrative Company will be in the crosshairs of a review initiated by the FCC this week, supplementing the broader review of the federal USF by the Commission which is currently under way. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeks to improve USAC by seeking comments on the current USF administration processes, USAC’s roles and responsibilities, operating costs associated with USF administration, and the impact of the USAC Board of Directors on USF administration.
