More bumps in the road for Pennsylvania’s BEAD program as the state’s Prevailing Wage Appeals Board decided earlier this week that the higher wage rate for broadband installers is still on the books and applicable for all projects. Critics of using the electric lineman hourly rate as opposed to that of a teledata worker claim that the misclassification adds between 30-50% for project costs which translates into less infrastructure being deployed.
