As expected, the FCC yesterday voted along party lines to vacate the Obama-era rules on net neutrality (See related story in Quotable section). All five Commissioners read lengthy statements on the order, with the dissenters Commissioners Clyburn and Rosenworcel respectively saying that the order abandons the Commission’s pledge to provide adequate and reasonable service to consumers and demonstrates a disdain for public opinion.
