On Tuesday, the Senate Communications and Technology Committee reported out Senate Bill 491, legislation sponsored by Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill modernizing the telecom portions of the Pennsylvania Utility Code. During the meeting, Phillips-Hill explained that the bill waives decades-old regulations while preserving regulations regarding customer complaints, 911, universal service and slamming and cramming.
