The House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee unanimously voted 911 legislation out of committee this week in the form of House Bill 1854. The bill was amended to strip out 911 surcharge language (which was passed last year) and added provisions specific to the implementation of Next Generation 911.
