Legislature: 6-27-25

Legislation directing the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to conduct a rulemaking regarding double utility poles passed the House this week and has been referred to the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee for its consideration. Sponsored by Representative Alec Ryncavage, House Bill 825 requires the rulemaking to consider, among other things, the acceptable use of double utility poles, registration of poles by pole owners, and the imposition of civil penalties for infrastructure owners that violate the final form regulations.
