Industry News: 4-10-26

All indications are that the April 30th Open Meeting of the FCC will be a busy one (See related story in Quotable Section). On the agenda are modernizing spectrum sharing for satellite broadband, combatting robocalls through enhancement of the Know-Your-Customer requirements, protecting against national security threats in domestic telecommunications service, and establishing a new E-Rate competitive bidding portal. Oh, and by the way, the FCC announced this week that it is in process of updating its biennial report on competition in the communications marketplace which is due by the end of the year.
