When is fiber not fiber? In a recent lawsuit filed by AT&T against Charter Communications, the answer is when its copper coaxial cable. At issue is Charter’s “fiber powered” advertising campaign which Ma Bell believes misleads consumers into thinking that they are getting fiber service when the last mile of the service is provided absent any fiber at all.
